About Us

The Junior League: women around the world as catalysts for lasting community change.

Mission

Junior League of Sioux Falls, as a member of the Association of Junior Leagues International, is an organization of women whose mission is to advance women’s leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training.

The JL Sioux Falls Experience

The Junior League of Sioux Falls was formed by a small group of determined women in 1979. Since then we have grown and been instrumental in many community projects in the Sioux Falls region. JLSF was a key player in raising funds to build the Ronald McDonald House from May 1982 to December 1983; we helped to found the local CASA program through grant funding awarded to JLSF in 1995; we collaborated with EmBe in 2011 to establish a Women’s Leadership Program and many other projects along with community partners such as Habitat for Humanity, Call to Freedom, and Lunch is Served.
