Little Black Dress Initiative 2020

The week of January 27-31, 2020, the Junior League of Sioux Falls Members will be wearing their little black dresses to raise awareness - and funds - to combat poverty. The Little Black Dress Initiative is designed to highlight how poverty and the resulting lack of resources affects working women. Advocates wear the same little black dress/outfit for five (5) days along with an “ask me about my dress” button. By participating in conversations throughout the week, Advocates raise awareness and raise funds to support women in our community. Funds raised will be used to fulfill the mission of the Junior League of Sioux Falls, be donated to Lunch is Served, and fund Done in a Day Projects that support JLSF's work around poverty. One of our goals is to fund 1,000 lunches for Lunch is Served. Want to learn more or become an Advocate? Email JLSFLittleBlackDress@gmail.com.
